What Should we Avoid According to Vastu

Is it feasible to ensure that the Vastu Shastra guidelines are followed in every unit that is placed up for sale? The response is no! How therefore, in light of Vastu regulations, can property purchasers decide which apartments to buy and which ones they should pass on?

According to specialists in Vastu, buyers should prioritise adhering to the most crucial Vastu regulations and should create alternate arrangements or repairs for construction elements that do not follow Vastu.

“Our home should be laid out according to Vastu principles in all of its many rooms. Otherwise, it can lead to mental unrest, health issues, and other problems in the inhabitants’ lives.

Vastu guidelines that a buyer should take into account while purchasing a home include:

  • Choose a residence where all four corners are intact, that is, without any corners being cut.
  • Avoid homes that face south-west.
  • The kitchen should be in the south-east or north-west; the staircase should always run clockwise and not in the north-east direction.
  • The main bedroom should be in the south-west direction, not the north-east. The direction of the toilets should be in the north-west, not the south-east. North-east should not be the direction.

Homes with serious Vastu flaws: Solutions

Many Vastu flaws can be fixed. The flaws that cannot be entirely corrected without destruction include issues connected to the incorrect placement of bathrooms, kitchens, or staircases, especially if they are built towards the north-east and if the main entry of the house is in the south/southwest direction.
Pyramids or crystals can be used to fix some serious flaws.
Depending on the circumstances, traditional techniques that employ mirrors, coloured pencils, and specific metallic wires can also be employed for adjustments.
The incorrect section can alternatively be completely destroyed and then correctly rebuilt. But doing so might be very expensive, time-consuming, and complicated.
The presence of high voltage wires crossing over a property is another Vastu flaw. This can be fixed by “Eliminating the negative effects of energy being generated by the overhead wire by incorporating a plastic pipe filled with lime, from one corner of the affected area to the other, in such a manner that both ends remain outside by at least three feet each.”
Finally, experts advise against ignoring Vastu flaws that do not require structural adjustments, as these can be fixed by making internal arrangements.
